A Tendril Love Story
Two tendrils fell in love,
One extending from a pea pod;
The other from a morning glory
Both had met by chance
Curling upon the ancient banyan tree
They pondered upon how to confess to each other,
The deep love, the fire they felt
Which tied them together
For often they curled shyly away
As soon as they glimpsed each other each day!
Days passed, months grew into years
They grew steadily into thick creepers
Yet love never left their blossoming hearts
However one day, their noses met
Their longing, their pining they could no longer forget
So they crossed, curled and intertwined
Realizing how long to do this they had pined
Like this they remained
Each minute, hour and day
Till death came on swinging axes
To tear them away
But still them He could not part,
For Passion sealed them together,
Eternal love in their sweet hearts….
