Doomsday
As morning dawns, we look around,
Glad to find ourselves safe and sound,
In our cosy homes, where peals of laughter are heard year round.
As morning dawned, we looked around,
When suddenly at our door there was a pound.
Shocked I was to see a man,
Wearing military fatigues, with a rifle in his hand.
He drove me out and the others too,
And rushed us into a truck or two.
I couldn't understand what was being done,
While all said Doomsday had come.
The world was at war,
Our minds weren't at peace either,
Houses wrecked and ruined, hither and tither,
What was the plight of the children,
Did anyone bother?
