I thought I could understand.
I desired for nothing more than comprehension.
Each second and every minute was spent reliving those I spent with you
The aftermath was my attempt to decipher you
Time proved you unsolvable
But we’re made of the same elements
Our breath was to the same paced rhythm
And I cared for you more than I cared to know myself
So your soul and your heart were never truly mine
