Days hot with the burning
Sun,
Scorching down on my skin.
Days of running down the
Creek
Getting up to my knees in
Cool water.
Days of fighting matches
With Elisabeth,
And me being victorious.
Days of coming home
To find shards of
Glass
Stuck in my
Feet.
No one heard
The times I cried;
No one sensed
The times I lied;
No one cared…
Except for him.
The one who pushed me
On the swings at
Home.
The one who cared
When wasn't’t around
The one who listened
When no one else heard.
The one who turned
Me from my
Frown.
He was there…
But now he’s not.
Now he’s left me;
Now he’s
Gone
