Broken Hearted

This feeling in my chest
A pain like nothing else
What is this, a heart
What a worthless thing it seems
Broken and mended a million times
Scotch tape fixes everything
Right?
Wrong
A heart
Bleeding and broken
Is beyond reach of such tools
Tape, glue, no
Only you can mend it this time
But would you even try
You broke it anyway
Would you just let it die
Maybe it'd be better than this awful pain
Just dead, empty
Alone at the core
And why should you care
You don't love me anymore
