"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present." --Marcus Aurelius

beautiful boy,
blue watercolour drying
on a longer letter later
kind of love,
you were the mapmaker,
the candlestick breaker
the butcher, the baker
the sky up above
and you’ve nothing to say to me nowadays
now that we’ve both gone our
separate ways
but I still remember the golden blaze
of the sun glinting off of
your crown in the nights as
you looked from the lighthouse
down on our bright town
and gently the soft sound
of breaking resounded
as crumbling down
our whole world in the ground
and you swore we’d be found,
both so lost
in the light of our
longer letter later
kind of love

As I read this, I kept trying to avoid into falling into the temptation of assuming. Wondering who this poem could be about. My assumed answer is that it's about Ciaran. Forgive  me for assuming and that it's not him, if it's really not. You just hold a lot of respect for this guy, the one of whom the poem is about. How you describe him to be just a talented and an amazing guy. And the last 6 lines are astounding and unforgettable.

I really (bleeping) love this, seriously. It would sound so good as a spoken word, which I'm not sure if that was the intent while writing it, but just keep that in mind. I love the lowercase (I write in lowercase, myself) and the subtle rhyme scheme.
