Wishes and Kisses
What if I told you to make a wish on the back of my hand instead of on a falling star?
Would you do it?
And if I said you would get the same result?
How about then?
Because wishes. Are. Kisses,
Whether they land on the palm of my hand
Or on the a** of some divine deity
That can't be bothered to help -His- people every once in a while.
Make a wish on an eyelash
Pick the petals off a daisy
Scatter seeds to plant more dandelions
Drop a coin into the well
Blow out one more candle every year.
They said wisdom comes with age,
So why are we sitting around and looking each other in the eye
Instead of going after our dreams?
Destiny?
Divinity?
No knight in shining armor is going to slay a dragon to take my hand,
So I'll go out and slay the dragon for him.
Because wishes. Are. Kisses.
And I plan on making my wish come true.
