The Man and the Wood
The connection made between the man and the wood,
Awestruck appreciation for the armies of pine,
Recognition for the still lake mirroring the mountain above it,
Fascination at the sight of a bird in flight.
The warm hues of the forest in the fall,
Excitement at witnessing herds of elk through a clearing, the still silence after a dusting of fresh powdered-snow.
In these woods there are no lovers, but there is love.
There is love.
