Caged
You would say,
My life is caged,
I would beg to differ.
In truth it is my mind.
My world is like a dungeon,
Dark and dank,
No place to raom;
Very little sunlight,
Comes into my home.
In my chains, I am bound,
Pain grips my limbs.
The guards of the prison,
How they yell,
Harassing my every moment.
What can I do,
But sit and pray,
Though God doesn't hear me now.
