Corruption
I feel like I’m trapped in the
middle,
somewhere between the black and white,
in a grey area….somewhere,
never sure which ?--- direction --? to choose.
To me it’s not a matter of
Left
Or
Right.
Black or white.
They expect us to choose a
Side,
Their Side.
We’re not supposed to mix,
Tell them to stay on the other side on the fence.
There is a line we’re not supposed to cross,
I think we’re expected to live in a box.
Pick a side of town,
a side that correlates to your color.
Whites on the Northside.
Asians on the Westside.
Blacks on the Eastside.
Hispanics on the Southside.
Spoon fed facts from the mouths of the corrupt.
We dream of a day liberation will come.
I’m still waiting.
