She'll Still Dream
You can break her heart,
But that doesn't mean,
That she won't dream.
She will.
It will hurt,
But she'll still dream.
She will dream,
Every time you walk by,
And then she'll wish,
That you would stop,
And talk.
She will dream,
When she sits by you in class.
She'll glance at you,
And hope that you,
Will notice.
She will dream,
But you won't ever see it.
She hides it well.
Her face is a calm,
Blank mask around you.
She will dream,
When she turns the other way.
Her steps are hesitant,
And then she thinks,
"Maybe this time".
She will dream,
Before she goes to sleep,
And pretend like her day,
Was the best day,
She ever had.
She knows she's broken,
And that she might,
Never heal.
She doesn't care,
No, she doesn't care,
Because she'll still
Dream.
She might dream,
The rest of her life,
And to her,
It will seem,
Like eternity.
You can break her heart,
But that doesn't mean,
That she won't dream.
She will.
It will hurt,
But she'll still dream.
