There once was a girl
There was once a girl
She stood on the sidelines her whole life
Watching the game playing around her
Waiting for the chance to join
When the day came, she was thrown in headfirst
With no lifeboat to pull her out of the spinning whirlpool
When all her will had been tossed away
A hand suddenly grabs her and slowly tugs her
To the surface with little acts of kindness
Until she could stand on her own
But always knowing there was a hand near by
In case she gets sucked back into life again
