Dark Marks
The bold black lines hide scars
Scars I don’t want people to see
Scars that have faded from the bright yet pale pink
To a slightly raised mark on my skin
My tattoo
A reminder of all the people
That would miss me if I snapped
And took a blade to my wrist
My tattoo
It stops me from ever doing it again
It stops me from rubbing my skin away
Turing it into a swollen red sore
I pick at
Not caring of it got infected
My tattoo
Is my savoir
Keeping depressing thoughts out of my head
The slightly faded ink
A locked Gate
Shielding me from the hell that awaits
My tattoo
Not just a small
Tiny piece of painted canvas
But a life saver
