The Excluded Family Member
Pulling, Pushing, and Hauling.
Doing all the tough manual labor.
Helping out with all the dirty jobs no one wants to do alone.
Always ready to help,
Always of use.
Doing jobs the parents can’t.
Years go on,
They get older.
Their shine starts to fade.
Completely worn out,
And no longer a bragging right.
No time is spent with them,
Only called upon when work is to be done.
No longer of use,
It is pushed to a quiet place.
To sit and be the excluded family member.
The family work truck.
