The voices so loud,
Crash like thunder,
The storm in his life,
People telling him he is not worth it,
He cannot shut the loud voices out.

The voices so loud,

Pound like hollow drums in his head,

People telling him what to do,

Who to be, how to act,

He just wants to be himself.

The voices so loud,
Tell him to stay away,
That he is alone,
No one wants him around,
The storm comes closer.

The voices so loud,
He starts to believe them,

He stays by himself,

Like they tell him to,
The drums pound louder.

The voices,
Now overwhelmingly loud,
Say that every breath he takes, is wasted,
He should not have been born,
The storm is upon him.

The voices too loud,

Now cloud his senses,

He cannot think,

His mind is numb,
The drums in crescendo.
