Sinking
I am unsuccesfully trying to pull you up from miserys decepting arms, which you now dangle over.
You are slipping farther & farther, nearly down to my finger tips.
I speak fast trying to hopelessly guide you.
I see the signs,
I know whats coming.
I have been in the place
you are now.
Why are you so tenacious
that it blinds your from the truth?
You are fighting for something that is long gone!
I struggle to hold on to your sliding hands as you allow yourself to dangle limply, refusing to help yourself.
I am forced to watch you continue to vanish.
The iron strong woman I knew, made brittle by betrayal and deceit.
When you hit the bottom
& have no more room to fall,
You will look up,
and I will be standing over you waiting on your call.
