As Long As You Remember
Thru fun times spared
Our laughter
Tends to cease,
Our moments have come
To an end,
Realization finally hit,
Our troubles have yet to
mend.
Thru silent stares
And questioned eyes
Our smiles won't give
Away,
Our power to finally
stray.
Is it what we truly agree?
To walk and never fight,
Our true intentions
Before true meanings
Because of blinded sight.
Once to shy
A moment too
Late
Our unspoken disguise,
Now unfortunately
Thru parting ways
Were forced to face good-byes.
Feelings aren't tangible
Unrecognized anymore,
Our one-sided battle unfought,
Only a shorts moments notice
A message only taught.
Not strong enough to overcome
The maybes and what ifs,
What coulda been,
Our journey not connected
Now alone is where I
Have yet to begin.
No more us
But there was never a we,
Only together because
It started as you and me.
So thru fun times spared
When laughter once will cease,
Remembering all the lasting
moments,
The regret,
It shall please.
