The Cycle
I am the whistling wind,
the piercing grass under your feet,
the leaf that falls from the tree,
the song your mom used to sing
to you as you fell asleep.
I am the pouring rainfall,
the knocking outside your door,
the chamomile tea you drink,
the sparrow with broken wing
you cared for ‘til full health.
I am your life,
the happy,
the sad,
the painful,
the regret,
the love,
and the lost.
I am the end,
the end of you.
I am the circle of life and death.
