Thunder
Most of the time, it's gone as quick as it came
But just this once the thunder decided to stay.
You learned many things,
Listening in awe and fascination,
And sometimes conversing...
You lost him twice,
Yet so managed to find him again and again,
No matter the damage caused.
Except once he is the reason for the severement of a tie,
The loss of a bond,
And moves on to unseemly conduct of your friend's best friend
Then
- and only then -
It's time to kick the boy who's fast as thunder
Gone.
Knowing, just knowing,
You won't be searching for him again.
