You Forgot How To Breathe
You were drowning, and you thought you'd never breathe again.
Sometimes, it's almost like you forget how to breathe.
When everything around you is happy,
It doesn't matter what you feel, because it's like you're not even there.
Ignored by the world and gone with pride,
You'll leave the world without even thinking.
Just one jump or one more pill,
So simple really. Every feeling, pushed aside.
Never letting the world know how you feel,
You kept it all bottle up inside and eventually snapped.
You have excuses and people let it slide,
Not knowing how you really felt inside.
Now you're gone and no one noticed.
It seems to me that you forgot how to breathe.
