Your gentle disposition
Flickers and goes still
Grasping for stability
But is greeted only by
Brutality’s impish smile.
Eager and naïve eyes
Willingly gave
They chest
To anyone whom dare uttered
Dearest
To the extent wherein
Death, Change and Time
Flutter eyelashes
And blow an innocent caress
At your flaunting soul.
Only to discover
Your heart:
Empty.
