Property
Snatched from Senegal & Congo
Packed as cargo
Allowed no water
You dare not falter
For when you hit shore
You will be scored
Sold off to plantations
Where there are only limitations
Whispers in native tongues
Beaten until you have sore lungs
Breathing is a luxury
You are no longer lovely
For you are Property
Now you’re only good for the nation’s economy
You will make me money
This is not the land of milk and honey
You’ll pick me cotton everyday
There is nothing you can say
Sure this is the land of the free
But you need to pay a fee
From the south they flee
In the north the find reprieve
Sure you can pray to God
But you’ll find he’s just a fraud
When you run I will catch you
No one will be able to protect you
Let’s get one thing straight
This is not bait
For I am the shepherd and you are the sheep
And I will tell you when it’s time to leave
You are only one thing to me
Nothing is free
I am your owner and you are my slave

I started a foundation called Be You. It is a Youth Empowerment / Anti-bullying foundation. My mission is to speak out every chance I get on the tragic effects of bullying in my life and countless others. I want to speak at every school, camp, organization and event to educate our youth, parents, teachers, administrators and public officials on 100% tolerance. I have already spoken at a number of events and intend to be a voice, an advocate and a beacon of light in the darkness of ignorance.
