What a disappointment

I waited
So so long for you yesterday
For you to say
"I love you"
Or "be my valentine"
Or "we should hang out more"
But you didn't
And I don't know why
I read the signs wrong
The most disappointing thing
Is expecting so little of someone
And not even receiving that.
What a shame
That I am so shy
And that you might not even like me.
What a shame.
