Hidden in the forest,
living a life of secret beauty.
Everyone ignores you
but I don’t.
You paint the ground a sunset of colors
with hints of spring popping through.
Passers-by tend to disregard you,
but I don’t.
From shades of carnation to hues of celeste,
touches of mauve contrast from the grass.
Humans overlook you
but I don’t.
I observe your chartreuse leaves
and your graceful dance in the breeze.
Commoners forget to appreciate you,
but I do not.
