Give Up Everything
There is a place in my mind reserved for you.
Inaccessible, buried.
There is a part of me that pines for you.
Would you stay if I gave up
everything?
Would you leave if I
begged you to?
There are shreds.
Remnants of my life you destroyed.
I hope you’re
happy.
Did you get everything you wanted?
There are tears that still drip sore.
Would you leave if I told you
not to?
There is an abyss between
them and me.
There is a wedge that you widen.
There was a jolt to my
electric pulse when I thought I
recognized you today.
Sweet exhilaration.
I don’t remember what you look like.
If I begged and pleaded,
made you promise
not to stay, would you listen?
Your voice in my head
chokes me.
Makes me remember
fiery nightmares. There is a
place in my mind just for
you.
Would you stay if I promised
to give up everything?
