Won't You Give Me Love?

so often, we stand alone
sometimes, I wonder
if I was born to be alone

you ask me, as a friend
(friend?)
(what friend?)

do you talk to boys?
what genre music do you like?
have you any plans for the future?

no, I do not talk to boys
I find them funny
but in a way, exotic and different

I like all sorts of music
pop, rock, classical, alternative, edm
recently, I’ve been into indie though

(not that you care much)
anyway
I’d like to think I’m pretty accepting of all genres

as for plans for the future, I have none
I am a lost soul, if you will
I was born to be alone

why do you ask me these questions
when it is so obvious
that you don’t actually give a s***?

these small chitchats are so pointless
and yet this is life, I suppose
I’d much rather just be alone

Amazing poem! I could relate so much. Well said but not overdone or overly sentimental. Felt I could really hearYOUR unique voice. Great job
