Dear Rain,
Hear my agony
Breathe it in.
It's all I want
To be known
Pelt the earth
Tell it my story
Attack with a vengeance
Don't let me go unsung
I want the planet to thunder
React to my pleas
Know how I beg
How my fire blankets the seas
But let the world heal me
Take me under its wing
Lift me into the clouds
And turn my tears into the vapor.
The sun will dry the terrain
of all its drops of loathing
They will rise into oblivion
And become past tears,
merely passing.
