lone survivor
In the distant, angry sea of depression,
A lone battleship fights to stay afloat,
As the raging sea reaches up, threatening its existence
Massive blue arms crash on the bow,
As the lone ship struggles to breathe
In the calm of the storm,
Another attacker awaits, filled with hatred for the lone ship,
Subs, carriers, destroyers and more
Destined to sink this lone battleship
One by one, the shells pierce the bridge
The crew flies on her wounds,
And bandages are placed,
Just as a barrage of shells destroy the 24 mm turrets,
As the crew is left with just machine guns
Firing madly, like a dog in pursuit of a cat,
The machine guns release a blast of bullets,
All to be destroyed,
All but one,
Under water missiles, shell, and 2mm rounds await
To extinguish the lone ship’s already split boiler
Piercing the hull and bridge once again,
But the crew has already given up
Slowly, the ship starts to sink,
Water gushing in her wounds,
The watertight doors are sealed,
Preventing the furious water from grasping the flame
Half sunk,
Bow full of tears,
The final blow was inevitable,
As is the final stand, but the final stand would be in vain
But the final blow is not delivered by the enemy,
But the battleship itself,
Sooner or later, it would sink,
By a blow given to herself,
To be consumed by a sea of depression,
Never to be seen again.
