Falling Rain
They say rain is god’s tears.
If this be true, then they must be tears of joy,
For rain brings life.
Flowers regain their color,
Crops rise up from the soil,
Dust jumps up in puffs and settles
As miniature paratroopers spiral
Down from heavy-laden airships,
Plummeting miles to the Earth.
Rain falls, transforming the land
From a dead pale brown
To a vibrant, verdant green
under the constant tending of the clouds.
