I Caught the Angel's Tear
I am the one who made the angel cry
I wonder if it will ever forgive me
I hear its faint sobs as I drift asleep
I see its pain as I look in the mirror
I am a monster in another’s skin
I pretend I am doing what’s right when I know it is not
I feel darkness bubbling within me everyday
I touch my reflection as if it is another person
I worry I will never find my light again
I cry when I realize I have lost my angel
I am lost in a land of wonder and temptation
I understand I am responsible for finding my light
I say that hope is too precious to let go
I dream of my light returning to me
I try to be as good and pure as I can
I hope that will return my angel to me
I am, after all, the one who caught the angel’s tear
