Another Alice in Wonderland
I am another Alice in Wonderland
I have fallen to a world stranger than I’ve known
These huge, maroon rectangular structures
The powerful scent of odd sprays
How foreign these creatures are to me!
Some of them are as tall as giants and some look like ogres
Cussing and fighting and screaming too! I have nearly gone deaf
From these noisy beats
They ram into me like rambunctious rams!
I’m surprised my bones have not shattered!
My head is spinning trying to navigate through these halls
These door handles are so high it’s as though I’ve shrunk!
My feet are burning and I think I might cry
A bell has rung and the race has begun and I am in last place
I find myself in a room larger than most, with the scent of fresh ink
Zillions of books are calling me, whispering, “Read me…”
My temptation is bubbling within me
But oh no! I’m almost late! The Lady will have me head is I am late!
Again I must navigate through this Forest of Doors
Which one do I use!?!
When can I leave this Wonderland and leave the people of this place
For I am nothing but a lost Alice in Wonderland
