This advent season, I’ve found a reason
To hold onto my faith and keep on believing
In the idea that giving’s better than receiving
So I’ve made a wish on this December night

I don’t want new clothes, jewelry, or car
I just need some time where I can realign my heart
And I can’t think of a better time to start
This is my wish on this December night

So please, Santa, don’t think of me
Just allow all these wishes come to be
I’d forego all other presents happily
This is my wish on this December night

That all the soldiers make it home tonight
That all those trapped in darkness see the light
That all the people of this world choose what’s right
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That all the violence in this world may cease
That all the troubled hearts can find peace
That all those lost in turmoil reach release
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That all the children sleep safe and sound
That all those lost can be found
That all the joy of Christmas fill this town
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That all those arguing will end their fights
That all those suffering will be alright
That that star of Bethlehem shine so bright
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That all God’s grace and all His love be known
That all those wandering find a home
That no one ever spend a Christmas all alone
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That all the soldiers make it home tonight
That all those trapped in darkness see the light
That all the people of this world choose what’s right
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That all those arguing will end their fights
That all those suffering will be alright
That that star of Bethlehem shine so bright
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

That we all find somebody to hold us tight
That we love each other with all our might
That we remember to let God in our lives
This is my Christmas wish on this December night

Oh my gosh, I am in love with this poem! I got a little teary-eyed once I was into it.  This is so what the world needs and you have a gift for writing. Please keep it up :)
