I never meant to hurt you
The words of the text
He sent me in a conversation
That had started out so light
It had been almost two years
Since he broke my new heart
We had never spoke of it
Just gravitated back to each other
After much time spent apart
Those honest
And vulnerable thoughts
Mended my worn heart
He had just placed a bandage on the wounds
He himself had made
