Missing You

Missing You
The air feels
Dead.
The sea feels
Dead.
I feel
Empty.
The night was sad and long.
The wind moaned
And trees swayed back and forth
The moon hid its face
And the stars shone no more
The crickets lost their song
The night is still, dead still.
Something is missing,
Something. Someone!
The sky is weeping,
The ground is shaking,
I am overborne with grief.
I’ll be
Missing.
Missing you.
