Truly Alive Inside
A world of so many frustrations,
Can lead to pure bitterness.
Yet we somehow find joyful sensations.
We work to pay the bill.
Love our family through the good and bad.
And drink coffee until we feel ill.
We go on vacations to soothe our active soul.
We want to get away from the real world.
But will this ever make us feel whole?
What makes us truly alive inside?
Is it peace, love, or joy?
Why is there always something to hide?
Maybe it was just the rush of the ride.
To truly make ourselves complete is something we might never know.
Will we ever be satisfied?
How can we really let go?
