Always Alone
I walked along the sidewalk taking in fresh air
I breathe in and out slowly, slowly as I continue walking
As I see people walking by, every detail, every face is just so clear
A hand raised waving at the pedestrians walking by, except the only thing received are blank, empty stares with mixed emotions
A twinge of pain hits me right in the heart and it hurts, it just hurts
I started running not looking back once until I reached the bridge next to the lake
The lake is sparkling blue like millions of sapphires floating above the water
I slowly sit down letting my feet dangle above the water
I put my hand into the water feeling the coolness as ripples start to form across the lake
As I stare at the lake, forcing myself to smile except it takes quite a turn
Unable to continue this ridiculous act, streams of tears just flow down my face never stopping
There is an invisible crack moving down my heart and it is slowly tearing me apart
I sigh just hoping that someday someone will be there for me
For once someone could understand the pain that I have been going through
It is so silent, so silent that you could hear a leaf drop onto the water
There is serenity, but it feels empty and so blank; so unreal
The state of being alone becoming who you are, slowly
I was never one that people liked or enjoyed to be around
So I am always alone with no one there waiting for me
Watching the beautiful trees change color day by day passing by
I start walking away into the far away distance watching my own shadow following along
