It's Just Here

Look further, no more
It’s clear, not a chore
For within, I’ve seen,
It’s just here.
I thought it was gone,
Alas! It’s too long!
I don’t want to walk that mile,
Not the Nile, it’s just here.
I was looking for a hope,
But all I could do is mope,
I received the many cuts,
But no fear, it’s just here.
For as long as I could walk,
It was short, a piece of chalk,
Smeared over the fort,
No, it’s just here.
