The Girl in The Rain
When I first saw the Girl
She was sitting in the rain
I was in no hurry
So I stopped to ask her
Why
She said it made her happy
To feel the drops on her skin
She had burns on her legs
Wondering aloud
She asked if anyone would miss her
If she went away
The next time it rained
I walked past the Girl
I was in no hurry
So I stopped to
Talk
She said it made her happy
To have the rain wash off the blood
She had cuts on her arms
She turned to the stormy skies
She asked if anyone would miss her
If she went away
When it rained again
I went out of my way to find the Girl
She was sitting in the rain
So I stopped to
Talk
She said it made her happy
To have to water heal the hurt
She had bruises on her face
Talking to a bird near by
She asked if anyone would miss her
If she went away
When the skies next opened
I went to find the Girl
She was sitting in the rain
I held her close and we
Talked
She said it made her happy
When I came to see her
She had beautiful eyes
Staring in my eyes
She asked if I would miss her if she
Went away
It did no rain for weeks
And I went to find the Girl
By she wasn't out
So we didn't
Talk
When in stormed again
I went to find the Girl
To ask her to run away
With
Me
She was lying on the ground
the blood pooled all around
she said her dad had finally done it
She said it made her happy
To have me with her, and days it
Rained were her favorite
I held her as she died
Nobody missed her
But me
