When does leaving become sad?
At the goodbye, or the departure?
Is it worse to leave the people you love,
Or to never have been with them at all?
When leaving, what goes through one’s mind?
It is bittersweet, really.
Looking back to the things you are leaving,
But guiltily excited for what lies ahead.
