The Soprano
Have you ever considered ones patterns of speech
Like those of the soprano who’s to the great heights of heaven they reach.
Ebbing and flowing with such poise and precision
Deafening our hearing with extravagant notes musicians envision.
The peace and solace they so lovingly paint
Ensnare our minds
Caress our souls
But only exist and consist for and of a moment in onward pushing time
Yet linger forever in ones audible memory
Old faded pictures now brought to light within our inner eyes
Now in new found importance held
Songs of relationships, joy and sorrow, life and death
All reflected and spurred to life in the highs and lows of the trusted soprano
