Cancer
Cancer is ugly,
one of a kind,
working very smugly,
a cure; we'd love to find.
Chemo can help,
although it robs you of your hair,
sometimes the pain makes you want to yelp,
though most people don't care.
Radiation is commonly used,
leaving people more hope,
still though, our lives are bruised,
for the sake of our loved ones,
we will cope.
Cancer is worldwide,
claiming the young and the old,
still, we can't say we haven't tried.
By cancer, we won't be controlled.
Our lives remain touched,
by the innocent who had to suffer,
the ending of your life,
could not have been rougher.
