I See You
I look to you,
And I see me,
Swinging next you,
On that playground swing,
But past the memories,
Past the fun,
I see you,
And the pain in your eyes,
Even though they haven’t met mine,
In a long time,
You probably won’t believe me,
You probably won’t see,
But I only know,
‘Cuz I went through the same thing,
And I don’t want you to hurt,
I’m not gonna let you fall,
Into the pit,
That threatens to kill us all,
Because it gets worse,
It gets worse than this,
Falling and falling,
Into that black abyss,
If you don’t want my help,
If you don’t want my advice,
Just remember,
I’ll always be by your side,
And I only say this,
Because I’m afraid of seeing,
Someone like you,
Fall down like me,
I hope this will make you think twice,
Before you push me to the side,
But either way,
I’ll still remember the memories.
