Eyes So Old
A body young, with eyes so old
A horrible story and tales to be told
A life so short, and yet too long
A depressing ballad, a saddening song
Too old to live, yet too old to die
Too old to keep watching days go by
Secrets untold, and feelings unshared
Afraid to know whether anyone cared
Fear of life, yet not of death
Not afraid to breathe the last breath
Can’t remember, but can’t forget
All the hardships and challenges met
All that is wanted is a final end
All that is wanted is a real, true friend
Someone to share everything that’s been seen
A shoulder to use to cry on and lean
But tears won’t come, they’ve all gone away
Nor words for that matter, there’s nothing to say
No one to love, no one to hate
No way to evade this unnatural fate
Tired of death, tired of life
Tired of being stabbed with a knife
A body young, with eyes so old
A horrible story and tales to be told
