Ocean stretched wide and unforgiving
We swim
And flail
No light to illuminate
Just walking blindly
Into wall after wall
Of darkened rooms
Searching for meaning
To this never-ending climb
Flip the switch
Only to find
The answer inches
From the burned bridges of our noses
That there is none.
