Swift and cunning
It’s a race now
I will not lose
I know who I run for
Do you?
Silver flashes
I back away
You follow,
Holding it
Silver flashes
Hits me
Explosions of pain
Silver flashes
And red flies through the air
Colors dot my vision
I must stay alive
Silver flashes
I think of him
Push harder
I must win
Silver flashes
Falls to the ground
I keep you distracted
While help comes
Silver flashes
Into police evidence bags
Into the evidence lockers
And the floor will forever be…
