In The Wind
You see it all the time,
In movies
Or in the car.
A little piece of paper,
Floating in the wind.
It whirls and gyrates.
Like an airborne ballerina.
You watch as it is sucked up,
Into the vortex of spinning wheels.
Unable to look away,
You are hypnotized.
But then you are too far away,
To see the tiny piece of paper.
Eventually settle,
On the unforgiving black top.
When it is sucked up,
Into the wind again.
