Winter Goal
Winter goal
In my small red chair parked next my mom
I sit on the unleveled field
staring at the dark green grass with bald spots in certain areas
like tree’s in the spring as each flower begins to blossom at different points
the leafless trees, and the colors turning from tree to tree
the cold wind blows across my face
leaving myself feeling like a bear with no fur to protect itself from the bitter air
The screams I let out cheering my brother on make my ears flutter
like on a hot summer day when birds cheep leaving myself calmed
I feel cold, but seeing my brother warms me
hungry for a winter goal, I become weak and almost lifeless
until my hunger gets satisfied
and his winter goal becomes real
his smile is brighter than the sun on the hottest day of the year
making myself smile as well
my brother warms my winter day
