Moment of a Lifetime
Just to think,
I almost missed it.
The constant “pitter patter” of the falling drops,
Along with the stretched out sunlight.
And just to think,
I almost missed it.
I stop my actions,
Come outside,
And realize
That this:
Is the moment of a lifetime.
A vivid picture:
The falling drops of water
From the sky,
Onto the green horizon.
And as I sit and watch,
And witness this wonderful site,
The brightness begins to fall to the darkness.
The warmth-
To be covered with the harsh wind.
And I’m left to live,
With that sheer moment of a lifetime.
That vivid picture.
And just to think,
I almost missed it.
