Idle Hands
If the devil walks
where children play,
let me never be an angel!
For idle hands
have much to learn
and those that cannot play
may not hope to grow.
Oh, to raise my children
in a world that belongs to them.
To open every door,
and teach them how to love.
Our children live
penned up like goats.
Long gone is the golden age of youth.
Idle hands are the devil's playground-
and they have been imprisoned in heaven.
