One Hundred Days
A hundred days have passed
And another hundred will
I’ll keep sitting right here
Upon This lonely sill
I’m waiting for you to come home
I’ll see you when you’re task is done
I imagine you doing your duty,
Carrying your loaded gun
I love you always and forever
For you are my brother
Hurry up come back soon
Come see me and mother
I’m worried about you dear brother
Each day my worry grows
I know you’re doing us proud out there
Keeping back our country’s foes
I’ll see you in a hundred days, brother
For now stay safe and well
I know you’ll arrive back safe
Neither in heaven or hell
